Wildwood, NJ – Family of Six Injured When Driver Doing Burn-Out Crashes into Golf Cart at W. Rio Grande Ave and Park Blvd

Wildwood, NJ (September 28, 2022) – A man from Linden was arrested in connection with a crash involving a golf cart that left another man, his fiancee, and four children injured during the unsanctioned car event known as H2oi on Saturday, September 24th.

According to a Cape May County prosecutor, the incident occurred in the area of Park Boulevard and West Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood.

Police reports show that 22-year-old Eryk R. Wnek was behind the wheel of his 2020 BMW doing a burn-out when he crashed into another vehicle and then a golf cart, being driven by 31-year-old Erhan Bayram, a resident of Williamstown, at about 9:20 p.m.

Bayram was taken by medical helicopter to Atlantic City Medical Center for immediate treatment of critical injuries.

His fiance, Jessica Klepacz, and four children who were riding along in the low-speed motor vehicle all received treatment for non-critical injuries.

Wnek was charged with assault by auto and aggravated assault although officials have indicated that the crash is still under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Reckless Drivers in New Jersey

Wildwood, NJ - Family of Six Injured When Driver Doing Burn-Out Crashes into Golf Cart at W. Rio Grande Ave and Park Blvd

Reckless drivers are one of the leading causes of New Jersey auto accidents that end in serious personal injury. Whether it’s a driver who is texting, speeding, or simply driving dangerously, their blatant indifference toward other drivers usually leads to collisions that could have been avoided.

Reckless driving is so common in New Jersey, the state even has specific laws surrounding the offense. If it is determined that the driver who caused your injuries is guilty of reckless driving, considered negligence per se, then a jury only has to consider if that negligence was the cause of your injuries and how much compensation is required to make you whole. In legal terms, making someone whole means they have been fully compensated for all of their damages.

As an injured victim, you may be entitled to collect:

  • Damages for your medical care
  • Damages for your disabilities, restrictions, and permanent injuries
  • Damages for your pain and suffering
  • Damages for your lost income
  • Damages for repairs to your vehicle
  • Spousal claim damages

If you or a family member were involved in a New Jersey accident caused by a reckless driver and sustained serious injuries as a result, you most likely have questions regarding your rights.
