Vehicle Rollover Accidents in New Jersey
When an obstacle or object interrupts the normal motion of a vehicle, it can make the car pitch forward or sideways. This is one of the leading causes of accidents involving vehicle rollover. Some other common contributory causes include:
- Defective parts
- Bald, incorrectly sized, or flat tires
- Negligent or reckless drivers
- Distracted or impaired drivers
- Fatigued or intoxicated drivers
- Turning too sharply
SUVs are often involved in vehicle rollover accidents. That is because SUVs have a narrow wheelbase and a higher profile; a design that makes them inherently unstable.
When a vehicle rollover occurs, those involved are often seriously injured. These injuries could be life-changing injuries and result in the death or disablement of the victim or force them to endure a lengthy rehabilitation process. Additionally, the personal injury protection part of their auto insurance policy might not cover their long-term medical expenses. This is just one of the many reasons victims should pursue additional compensation in court.
