Crashes involving two vehicles are among the most common types of collisions in urban areas like East Orange. Intersections, in particular, are frequent sites of crashes due to cross traffic, turning vehicles, and changes in traffic signals.

Some of the most common causes of two-vehicle accidents at intersections include:

  • Failure to yield the right of way
  • Running red lights or stop signs
  • Speeding through yellow lights
  • Distracted or impaired driving
  • Fatigue or drowsy driving

While many injuries from these crashes are minor, others can result in long-term health problems such as back injuries, broken bones, or brain trauma. Even when injuries appear minor at first, victims may experience pain and complications in the days or weeks following the incident.

If another driver’s negligence caused a crash, injured victims may have the right to seek financial compensation. A knowledgeable car accident attorney can help pursue compensation for medical bills, lost income, pain and suffering, and vehicle damage.
