Car Accidents in New JerseyInjuries Reported in Vehicle Collision on Nevada St in Central Business District

Car accidents in Newark occur frequently due to dense traffic, tight intersections, and constant driver activity. The morning commute often sees high congestion, which increases the risk of collisions on busy roads. Understanding why these accidents happen can help drivers stay alert and reduce the likelihood of serious injuries.

Some of the most common causes of car accidents in New Jersey include:

  • Distracted driving – texting, eating, or using a GPS device can divert attention from the road.
  • Speeding – reduces reaction time and makes it harder to avoid sudden hazards in busy areas.
  • Aggressive driving – tailgating, weaving through lanes, or ignoring traffic signals can quickly lead to crashes.
  • Failure to yield – especially at intersections where pedestrians and vehicles share space.
  • Weather conditions – rain, fog, or ice can create slick roads and poor visibility.
  • Mechanical issues – worn brakes or tire failures can cause drivers to lose control unexpectedly.

A skilled New Jersey car accident attorney can help victims determine who was at fault, gather evidence, and pursue fair compensation for their injuries and losses. Legal support can be critical in cases where multiple vehicles or complex liability factors are involved.
