Scott, NY (February 13, 2026) – Two people suffered injuries in a crash on Thursday, February 12, on State Route 41 in the Town of Scott. The accident happened around 10 a.m. along a snowy stretch of roadway between Route 41A and Glen Haven Road. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office said a tractor-trailer and an SUV were involved in the collision.
Photos from the scene showed the SUV heavily damaged off the road and the tractor-trailer jackknifed on the highway.
Emergency units removed the SUV’s driver and passenger from the vehicle. Crews then transported both victims to Upstate Hospital for medical treatment. Officials have not released details about the severity of their injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer did not report injuries. Officials said the truck driver worked for a company based in Elbridge, New York.
Authorities closed part of State Route 41 for several hours while crews cleared the scene. Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
