Mount Laurel, NJ (December 30, 2025) – A fatal hit-and-run crash claimed the life of a man on Monday, December 29, on Route 73 in Mount Laurel. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. as the victim traveled along the roadway on an electric bicycle.
Officers from the Mount Laurel Police Department arrived at the scene and found a 49-year-old man from Magnolia deceased. Police identified the victim as Anthony Caprio. Investigators reported that a white sport utility vehicle struck the e-bike rider and fled the scene before officers arrived. The vehicle reportedly traveled southbound on Route 73 after the collision.
The Mount Laurel Police Traffic Unit responded alongside detectives and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Investigators began collecting evidence and reviewing possible leads shortly after the crash. Police believe the suspect vehicle may have damage to the undercarriage, front bumper, and front passenger side.
