Albany, NY (August 8, 2025) – A New York State Trooper was injured in a crash on Friday morning, August 8, while conducting a traffic stop on the Interstate 87 Thruway near Albany. According to State Police, the trooper was struck by another vehicle while in his patrol car. The crash occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. in Bethlehem.
The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Both the driver of the pulled-over vehicle and the driver of the vehicle that hit the trooper’s patrol car were unharmed. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
