Jersey City, NJ (January 27, 2026) – A deadly apartment fire in Jersey City claimed the life of an elderly woman late Tuesday night. The fire broke out inside a residential high-rise, leading to an emergency response and the evacuation of multiple residents.
The incident occurred on January 27, just before 9:00 p.m., inside a building located on College Drive. Officials reported that the fire started on the fifth floor of the apartment complex known as College Towers.
