Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Van Reypen St

Car accidents in New Jersey are an ongoing concern for both residents and commuters. With dense traffic, narrow roadways, and busy intersections, crashes can happen quickly and cause serious injuries. Even injuries that may seem minor, such as a knee injury, can lead to lasting health issues and extended recovery times.

While some people walk away with only minor cuts, others may suffer serious or life-changing injuries. Common injuries that can result from two-vehicle accidents include:

  • Knee injuries – Ligament tears, fractures, or joint damage are common when legs are pinned or impacted. These injuries often require surgery or months of physical therapy.
  • Whiplash – Sudden stops or impacts cause the neck to snap back and forth, leading to stiffness, pain, and headaches. Whiplash may linger for weeks or even months.
  • Broken bones – Arms, ribs, and legs are highly vulnerable in crashes. Broken bones can limit mobility, require surgical repair, and take months to heal.
  • Head injuries – Concussions and traumatic brain injuries may occur when the head strikes a window, steering wheel, or dashboard. These injuries often affect memory, concentration, and overall brain function.
  • Back and spine injuries – Herniated discs and spinal cord damage can lead to chronic pain or long-term disability. Severe cases may result in partial or complete paralysis.
  • Internal injuries – Blunt force trauma from a crash can cause internal bleeding or damage to vital organs. These injuries are not always obvious at first but can quickly become life-threatening.

Even a single injury like the knee trauma reported in this crash can drastically affect a person’s quality of life. Victims may face long recovery times, medical expenses, and an inability to return to work.

That is why legal representation is important after serious car accidents. A car accident lawyer can help victims pursue compensation for medical bills, lost income, rehabilitation, and pain and suffering.
