Car Accidents in New Jersey

Injuries Reported in Two-Car Crash on Clinton Ave

Car accidents occur frequently throughout New Jersey, especially in busy cities like Newark where high traffic volume increases the risk of collisions. Clinton Avenue is a heavily traveled roadway, making it a common location for early morning crashes when drivers hurry to work, school, or appointments. Even a two-car collision can leave victims feeling overwhelmed, unsure of what to do next, and struggling with unexpected injuries.

After a crash, victims often face many challenges. Pain may worsen over time, medical care may become expensive, and dealing with insurance companies can quickly become stressful. Taking the right steps can help protect your health, your rights, and your ability to recover compensation.

Here are essential steps to follow after a car accident:

  • Check for injuries right away. Your safety and health are the top priority. Call 911 if anyone appears injured or unable to move safely.
  • Move to safety if possible. If the vehicles can be driven, move them out of traffic to avoid further danger. Use hazard lights to warn other drivers.
  • Call the police. A police report documents the crash and becomes a key piece of evidence in insurance and legal claims.
  • Exchange information with all drivers. Obtain names, phone numbers, insurance details, and vehicle information. If there are witnesses, gather their contact information as well.
  • Take photos and videos. Document vehicle damage, injuries, skid marks, traffic signals, and weather conditions. These details may be important later.
  • Get medical care as soon as possible. Some injuries take hours to show symptoms. Early treatment helps prevent complications and creates medical records for your claim.
  • Notify your insurance company. Report the crash promptly but avoid giving detailed statements until you understand your legal rights.
  • Contact acar accident lawyer. An experienced attorney can explain your options and help you pursue compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain resulting from the crash.

Knowing what to do after an accident can make a major difference in your recovery and protect you from insurance challenges later.
