Car Accidents in New Jersey Injury Crash at McCarter Hwy & I-280 E in Mt. Pleasant

Car accidents in New Jersey frequently occur at major intersections and highway interchanges. Newark’s heavy traffic, frequent merging, and fast-changing traffic patterns make this area especially risky for drivers during morning commute hours.

Accidents at busy interchanges happen for many reasons. Drivers often move between lanes, merge at high speeds, or struggle with limited visibility due to roadway layout. Even a small error can trigger a crash when traffic flows quickly in multiple directions.

Common reasons these crashes happen include:

  • Distracted driving causes delayed reactions and missed traffic signals or merging vehicles.
  • Speeding reduces a driver’s ability to stop safely and increases crash severity.
  • Improper lane changes, especially in areas where multiple ramps and lanes converge.
  • Following too closely raises the risk of rear-end crashes during sudden slowdowns.
  • Weather conditions, such as rain or fog, limit visibility and increase stopping distances.

Understanding these risk factors helps drivers stay alert, especially in high-traffic areas like Mt. Pleasant. However, even careful drivers can still be injured when another motorist makes an unsafe decision.

Victims of car accidents often face medical bills, missed work, and challenges in daily life. Speaking with an experienced New Jersey car accident attorney can help injured individuals understand their rights and pursue compensation for their losses.
