Woodbridge, NJ (December 25, 2025) – A young driver lost his life following a serious multi-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge. The incident occurred during the afternoon hours on Wednesday, December 24, and involved several vehicles traveling in the northbound lanes.
The New Jersey State Police said the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. as a 22-year-old man from Elizabeth entered the parkway from the Exit 132 on-ramp. Authorities reported that the driver was operating a Honda when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The car struck a guardrail before continuing forward.
After the initial impact, the Honda moved back onto the roadway and entered the northbound lanes at an angle. At that point, the vehicle sat perpendicular to oncoming traffic. A Lexus SUV driven by a 57-year-old woman from Barnegat was traveling northbound and struck the Honda. The collision caused the Honda to hit a nearby concrete barrier.
Moments later, a Ram pickup truck driven by a 74-year-old man from Beach Haven collided with the rear of the Lexus. Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided aid to those involved.
State Police confirmed that the Honda driver suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The Lexus driver was not hurt, while the pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries. Investigators continue to review the circumstances that led to the collision.
Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss, and we hope for healing for everyone injured in this incident.
