Buena Vista Twp., NJ (July 7, 2025) – An accident claimed the life of an 82-year-old Atlantic County resident after a collision on Sunday evening. On July 6, around 6:57 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the intersection of County Route 671 and Chestnut Avenue following reports of a severe crash. According to New Jersey State Police spokesman Jeffrey Lebron, a Tesla Model 3 failed to stop at a posted sign and struck a Honda Civic that was making a left turn.

The impact proved fatal for the Civic’s driver, identified as Stephen Field, who suffered critical injuries and died as a result of the crash. Meanwhile, the Tesla driver and three passengers sustained moderate injuries in the collision. Emergency medical personnel provided care at the scene before transporting the injured individuals to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
