Clinton Township, NJ (October 22, 2025) – Two people were injured Tuesday morning, October 21, in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 78 near milepost 16.4 in Clinton Township.
According to the New Jersey State Police, troopers responded to the scene at approximately 9:11 a.m. The crash involved a Volvo tractor-trailer, a Mazda passenger car, and a Ford van. Responders found significant vehicle damage spread across multiple lanes of westbound I-78.
The driver of the Mazda sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency care. The driver of the Ford van suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Authorities confirmed that the truck driver was not hurt.
Crews worked to clear the roadway and direct traffic while police continued their on-site investigation. The cause of the crash remains under review by the New Jersey State Police.
