Essex Co, NJ (Apr 18, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on Friday afternoon, April 18, on the New Jersey Turnpike’s Western Spur, just north of the Southern Mixing Bowl near Newark. The incident took place at approximately 4:47 p.m., prompting a swift emergency response and causing temporary traffic disruptions in the area.

According to authorities, two passenger vehicles traveling northbound on the NJ Trnpk collided under circumstances that remain under investigation. New Jersey State Police, EMS crews, and local firefighters responded to the scene. At least one individual sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
