Fabius, NY – One Killed in Traffic Wreck on SR-80 near Ridge Rd
Fabius, NY (May 3, 2024) – Police in Fabius are currently investigating a fatal crash that happened on May 1. At around 9:17 p.m., responders were sent to the scene of the accident at the intersection of State Route 80 and Ridge Road. An initial report showed that a 2017 Harley Davidson operated by Daniel T. Ankers, 59, of New Woodstock, was behind a 2020 Ford Escape operated by Hollie J. Haaf, 46, of Manlius. Both vehicles were headed east on SR-80 when they were involved in a collision. Paramedics promptly responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Police in Fabius continue to investigate.
