Lakewood Township, NJ (August 6, 2025) – A 67-year-old man from Seaside Heights was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Garden State Parkway on Tuesday, August 5. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on the southbound side of the Parkway near milepost 89.9 in Lakewood Township.
According to New Jersey State Police, a Honda CBR motorcycle and a Ford SUV were both traveling southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle struck the rear of the SUV. The impact threw the motorcyclist, identified as Antonio Vinagre, from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Troopers from the New Jersey State Police continue to investigate the crash. Our thoughts are with the family of Mr. Vinagre during this tragic time.
