Livingston, NJ (December 3, 2025) – A crash in Livingston injured a police officer and sent a juvenile driver to the hospital last weekend, according to the Livingston Police Department. The collision happened around 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, at the intersection of South Livingston Avenue and West Oakwood Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a 2019 Subaru Outback overturned on its roof. The vehicle showed heavy damage along the passenger side. A Livingston police patrol car also had major front-end damage.
The officer driving the patrol car told investigators he had a green light as he entered the intersection. He said the Subaru suddenly attempted a left turn and struck the police vehicle. The juvenile driver also stated that he tried to turn left onto West Oakwood Avenue when the crash occurred. The impact flipped the Subaru and left both vehicles badly damaged.
Emergency crews responded quickly to help those involved. Police transported the officer to a hospital, where doctors treated him for his injuries.
