Manchester, NJ (October 21, 2025) – Two people suffered injuries after two utility task vehicles (UTVs) collided on Saturday, October 18, near Pasadena Road and Webbs Mill Road in Manchester. According to Manchester Township Police, the crash occurred around 10:10 p.m. when two Polaris UTVs were traveling south on Webbs Mill Road.
Authorities said a black Polaris, driven by a 53-year-old man from Jackson, veered off the trail to the right, striking a tree. A green Polaris, driven by a 31-year-old man from Whiting, was behind the first UTV and crashed into the rear of the black Polaris, causing it to overturn.
A passenger in the black UTV, a 51-year-old woman from Jackson, and the driver of the green UTV both sustained injuries in the collision. Emergency medical teams from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services and paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital responded to the scene. Both victims were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where they were listed in stable condition.
Accurate Towing also arrived to assist in clearing the damaged vehicles from the scene. The Manchester Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit, led by Patrolman Gainey, continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Our thoughts are with the injured individuals, and we wish them both a full and swift recovery.
UTV Accidents in New Jersey
UTV (utility task vehicle) accidents are more common than many realize in New Jersey. Riders often underestimate how quickly a fun recreational ride can turn dangerous. The state’s wooded trails and sandy terrain can lead to sudden hazards, and one wrong turn can result in severe injuries or even fatalities.
Many of these crashes occur due to:
- Loss of control from excessive speed or tight turns
- Unsafe following distance
- Mechanical failures or defective parts
- Inexperienced or impaired operation
Victims of personal injury accidents involving UTVs often face significant challenges. Injuries from these crashes may include broken bones, spinal trauma, or head injuries. Medical costs can quickly pile up, and recovery may take months. When negligence plays a role—such as reckless driving or poorly maintained equipment—injured riders have the right to pursue compensation.
Victims may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and damage to their property. In some cases, liability may fall on another driver, the vehicle manufacturer, or even the property owner if unsafe trail conditions contributed to the crash. Establishing responsibility often requires a detailed investigation, including witness statements, photos of the scene, and accident reports.
Because off-road accidents often involve private property, trail conditions, or defective vehicle parts, determining liability can be complex. An experienced personal injury attorney can investigate whether the crash resulted from driver negligence, faulty manufacturing, or unsafe trail conditions.
