Irondequoit, NY (August 4, 2025) – A 24-year-old man from Greece, NY, tragically died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday afternoon, August 3. The incident began around 12:15 p.m. when an Irondequoit Police officer attempted to stop a speeding 2006 Suzuki motorcycle on Titus Avenue. The motorcyclist refused to pull over and continued northbound on Culver Road. The officer lost sight of the motorcycle near Sweet Fern Road.
While searching the area, another officer discovered the crash scene at 1580 Lakeshore Boulevard, where the motorcycle collided with a Nissan SUV pulling into a parking spot at Durand Eastman Beach. Officers quickly rendered first aid, including CPR, but were unable to save the rider. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Assisting at the scene were the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Rochester Police Department, and New York State Police. As required by law, the New York State Attorney General’s Office is investigating the crash, as it involved a police pursuit that resulted in death. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
