Motorcycle Accidents in New Jersey
Motorcycle accidents are a significant concern in New Jersey. According to the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, motorcycle collisions have been on the rise over the past several years, leading to more injuries and fatalities.
In a state with many busy intersections, the risk of accidents increases when vehicles and motorcyclists share the road.
The dangers of motorcycle accidents are particularly severe because of the lack of protection that motorcyclists have. Unlike passengers in cars or trucks, motorcyclists are not shielded by metal frames, airbags, or seat belts.
When an accident occurs, the rider can be thrown from the bike, often leading to serious injuries. Common injuries from motorcycle crashes include broken bones, road rash, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
These injuries can have long-term consequences, affecting a victim’s ability to work, perform daily tasks, and maintain a normal life.
If you or a loved one has been involved in a motorcycle accident, it is essential to seek legal representation. A motorcycle accident lawyer in New Jersey can help you navigate the claims process and fight for the compensation you deserve.
The legal process can be overwhelming, especially when dealing with injuries and recovery. A lawyer can assist you in understanding your rights and ensuring that all damages are accounted for, including:

- Lost wages: If the accident leads to an inability to work, you can seek compensation for the income you’ve lost, as well as for any future earning capacity that is affected by the injury.
- Pain and suffering: Injuries from motorcycle accidents often lead to significant physical and emotional trauma. Compensation can be sought for this suffering.
- Emotional distress: The aftermath of an accident can be mentally overwhelming, leading to anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
