Upper Pittsgrove Twp., NJ – One Killed, One Hurt in Route 77 Crash

Upper Pittsgrove Twp., NJ (March 1, 2024) – A man lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in upper Pittsboro Township on Wednesday, February 28.  The accident occurred at around 2:02 a.m.

Law enforcement reports indicate that a Chevrolet was traveling south on Route 77 during the early morning hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the roadway and collided with a pole near mile marker 10.1. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as a 26-year-old, was injured in the accident. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. A 29-year-old involved in the accident, identified as Jonathan Sandoval, was fatally injured. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
