The incident occurred at the intersection of South Clinton Avenue and Chambers Street, a busy area known for high traffic volume.
According to preliminary investigations by local authorities, the bicyclist entered the intersection traveling southbound against a red traffic signal. This led to a collision with the GMC Van, which was moving eastbound on S Clinton Avenue with a green light. The impact of the crash resulted in significant injuries to the bicyclist, who was promptly transported by ambulance to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.
