Bridgeton, NJ – Fatal Car Crash on N Burlington Rd near Indian Ave
Bridgeton, NJ (August 18, 2023) – A woman from Elmer lost her life after a collision involving a truck early Thursday morning, August 17. The incident occurred in Bridgeton just after midnight, reports said.
Responders were dispatched to North Burlington Road near Indian Avenue after receiving reports of a serious crash. An investigation revealed that a 2019 Nissan Rogue operated by Kimberly Cox, 53, was headed north on North Burlington when it crashed into a 1999 Freightliner Truck. The truck was driven by Edgar Pinatorres, a 35-year-old Clifton resident. He was pulling onto North Burlington Road from Indian Avenue at the time.
Cox was seriously injured in the crash and had to be airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden. She lost her life shortly thereafter.
Pinatorres was charged with operating an unregistered vehicle, an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and careless driving. Police in Bridgeton continue to investigate.
