Bronx, NY (November 18, 2024) – An injury fire broke out in a six-story apartment building located at 1663 Eastburn Ave, resulting in an injury to one person. The incident occurred around 10:35 PM on Monday, with emergency crews immediately responding to the scene. Firefighters were called to the building after a 911 report confirmed the fire in apartment 5C, located on the fifth floor.

According to the New York Fire Department, firefighters launched an aerial tower ladder to the roof and worked to control the blaze. All units were fully engaged in extinguishing the fire, which required additional basic life support resources for one victim, who was found outside the building. The individual was quickly transported to the hospital for medical treatment, though their current condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities managed the situation on-site, ensuring the safety of residents and controlling traffic around the building. Several roads near the apartment complex were closed to allow emergency vehicles to pass safely.
