New York Pedestrian Crashes
Pedestrian accidents can be extremely devastating for victims and their family members. Every year, in the United States, over 5,000 pedestrians end up losing their lives in fatal traffic accidents. The majority of these are caused by the negligence of an involved party. More than half of the time, negligent actions are displayed by the driver involved. Especially if a pedestrian crash turns fatal, the surviving family members of a deceased crash victim may be faced with several serious consequences after the passing of their loved one. Not only may they be in extreme pain due to their grief, but they may also simultaneously be worrying about money, as the costs related to a severe car crash and injuries may be extremely overwhelming.
Losing a beloved member of your family is never easy, especially if you are put in a difficult financial position due to their passing. Though you may feel as if you are not even able to think about money at a time like this, it may be necessary depending on the circumstances of your family member’s death. You may be faced with overwhelming funeral and burial expenses, outstanding medical bills, and other costs related to your loved one’s accident.
However, if you know that your family member lost their life because of the negligent actions of another person, you may be able to collect full and fair financial compensation that can help you pay for some or all of the expenses that stem from your loved one’s crash. Additionally, you may be eligible to collect financial compensation for non-economic damages like pain, suffering, emotional turmoil, and more.
