Burlington Co, NJ (April 10, 2025) – A serious two-car injury crash occurred Thursday evening on the New Jersey Turnpike (NJ Trnpk) southbound, just south of Interchange 4 near NJ 73 in Mount Laurel Twp. The incident happened at approximately 6:00 p.m., prompting a swift emergency response and causing both shoulders of the highway to be temporarily blocked.

According to reports from local authorities, two vehicles traveling in the southbound lanes collided, resulting in significant damage to at least one of the vehicles. Firefighters from the Mount Laurel Fire Department were dispatched to the scene and assisted in the extrication of an occupant trapped in the wreckage. Emergency medical services quickly transported two injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been publicly disclosed.

Troopers from the New Jersey State Police also responded to the scene, managing traffic and initiating an investigation into the cause of the collision. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted during the evening commute while crews worked to clear the scene. Initial reports suggest that weather and road conditions were normal at the time of the crash.
