Essex Co., NJ (April 17, 2024) – A car accident in Essex County turned fatal on Wednesday, April 17. At around 12:45 a.m., the crash happened on the Garden State Parkway near milepost 145.1 and took the life of one driver, according to reports. Currently, the driver has not been identified to the public. Police are still investigating and have not provided any additional information at this time. The incident occurred just under a mile south of Exit 144/the South Orange Avenue exit. Traffic was backed up in the area while authorities worked to secure the scene.
