Roseland, NJ (January 3, 2024) – A man from Hackettstown was charged with vehicular homicide after he hit a vehicle that was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 280 in Rosedale. The man was arrested at the scene of the accident that occurred at around 4:14 p.m. on Sunday, December 31. He had been driving a pickup truck that hit a vehicle stopped on the right-hand shoulder near milepost 4.4, according to police. Luis Nicheporuck, 56, a resident of Randolph, was hit by the truck as he stood outside the vehicle, according to state police. The road was blocked for an extended period while emergency responders worked there.
