Farmingville, NY (December 15, 2023) – A man identified as Alberto Perea Vazquez, 56, lost his life in a fatal pedestrian accident in Farmingville. Reports show the accident happened on Monday night, December 11 when the man was struck by a vehicle on Horseblock Road near Raymond Avenue. The wreck occurred at around 6:00 p.m. when Vazquez was hit by an unknown vehicle that was headed west on the roadway. As he was lying in the roadway, he was then struck by a Subaru Impreza. Why the crash happened remains under investigation by police at this time.
Vazquez was pronounced deceased on-site by paramedics. The vehicle that initially struck the victim fled the scene without stopping, according to reports. The other vehicle remained at the scene.
