
Franklin Twp., NJ (April 1, 2025) – A deadly plane crash in Franklin Township on Sunday, March 30, left one person dead after a single-engine aircraft went down in a wooded area near the outskirts of town.
The Cirrus SR22 had just departed from Princeton Airport and was en route to Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, according to officials with the Federal Aviation Administration. The aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances shortly after takeoff, drawing an immediate emergency response.
Local police, firefighters, and emergency personnel rushed to the site, where they found the plane wreckage nestled among the trees. Authorities confirmed that the pilot was killed in the crash.
