Car Accidents in New Jersey
Car accidents in New Jersey highlight the risks drivers face on busy roads like Hickstown. Factors such as speeding, driver error, and unsafe road conditions often play a role in these collisions. In this case, police reported that the car crossed into oncoming traffic, creating a dangerous head-on impact.
Some of the most common causes of serious car crashes include:
- Distracted driving – Using phones or other devices prevents drivers from reacting to traffic changes.
- Speeding – Higher speeds reduce stopping ability and increase the force of collisions.
- Impaired driving – Alcohol or drugs slow reaction times and impair judgment.
- Loss of control – Poor weather, sharp turns, or reckless maneuvers can cause drivers to veer into oncoming lanes.
- Mechanical failure – Tire blowouts, brake issues, or other mechanical problems may lead to sudden accidents.
When fiery crashes occur, victims often suffer catastrophic injuries, ranging from burns to traumatic brain injuries. Recovery may require extensive medical care, surgeries, and long-term rehabilitation. Families may also face emotional distress and financial strain from mounting hospital bills and lost income.
Victims of injuries in serious crashes may have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages. Insurance companies often attempt to settle quickly and for less than victims deserve, which is why working with a skilled personal injury attorney is so important.
