Granville, NY – Guistina Rathbun Killed in Wreck on New Boston Rd
Granville, NY (June 17, 2024) – Police in New York responded to the scene of an accident in Granville on Sunday, June 16. One passenger was confirmed deceased as a result of the incident, identified as Guistina Rathbun, 34, of Hampton. Rathbun was declared deceased at the crash site.
Police responded to the scene after receiving reports concerning the incident. A vehicle exited New Boston Road and rolled down a 30-foot embankment. The two occupants inside the vehicle were entrapped inside the vehicle. The driver was rescued and airlifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries, where they remain in critical condition, state police said. The intersection was closed while responders worked to secure the scene. Local officials are investigating the wreck.
