Hudson Co, NJ (May 2, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused injuries Friday evening, May 2, on the southbound side of the New Jersey Turnpike’s Eastern Spur near Interchange 16E, which connects to NJ 3 and the Lincoln Tunnel in Secaucus. The accident, which occurred around 8:00 p.m., blocked one of the two available lanes and resulted in significant traffic delays.
According to authorities, the crash involved two vehicles and led to at least one person sustaining injuries. Emergency medical services arrived promptly at the scene and transported the injured individual(s) to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
State troopers from the New Jersey State Police responded to the crash, along with local fire departments and rescue units, who assisted in managing the traffic flow and in the extraction of one of the vehicles involved. The right lane remained closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the crash.
