Jersey City, NJ – Two-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries in Central Ave and Manhattan Ave

Jersey City, NJ (September 17, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Jersey City on September 16 resulted in injuries and a gas leak concern, leading to road closures in the area.

The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. near the intersection of Central Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. Authorities report that a blue Audi and a Toyota were involved in the collision. 

One individual, who was driving one of the vehicles, reported experiencing pain in the head and neck following the crash. Emergency medical services were quickly dispatched to the scene.

As a precautionary measure, the Jersey City Police Department closed southbound Central Avenue from Manhattan Avenue to Ferry Street and eastbound Manhattan Avenue from Summit Street to Central Avenue.
