Keyport, NJ (March 24, 2026) – A deadly house fire on Tuesday, March 24, claimed the life of a local resident and the family dog in Keyport. The fire broke out at a home on Green Grove Avenue at the intersection of Maple Place.
Emergency crews responded during the early morning hours after reports of flames at the residence. Firefighters from several nearby Bayshore communities arrived and worked to control the blaze at the home.
Authorities later confirmed that Raymond Hammond died in the fire. His family dog, Winston, also died in the incident.
