Brookhaven, NY (April 14, 2026) – Two drivers were injured in a crash at a busy Brookhaven intersection on Monday evening, March 13. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. at Montauk Highway and Old South Country Road.
Suffolk County Police said a man drove a 2020 Subaru SUV west on Montauk Highway. At the same time, another man in a 2023 Kia sedan tried to turn left from Old South Country Road onto eastbound Montauk Highway.
The vehicles collided at the intersection in a right-angle impact. The force of the crash caused both drivers to suffer injuries.
Emergency units arrived and evaluated both men at the scene. Crews then took them to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment. Authorities described their injuries as non-life-threatening.
