Workplace Accidents in New Jersey
In almost all cases, the workers’ compensation insurance representative and your employer will do everything in their power to dissuade you from working with a lawyer. They will expect you to see a physician of their choosing and do their best to seem accommodating.
Sadly, behind the scenes, they are working hard to limit their liability, and, by extension, limiting the financial compensation available for damages sustained in your workplace accident.
After being injured at work, you have two potential claims:
- Workers’ compensation claims are filed for workers’ compensation insurance benefits.
- Third-party claims are filed against companies or people besides your employer who might be liable for your injury
For example, if you are hurt using a piece of equipment at work, you have a valid claim for workers’ compensation benefits. You may, however, also have a valid claim against the equipment manufacturer for making a dangerous product or a product lacking sufficient safety protections/warnings.
Advocacy and representation for the financial compensation you are entitled to can only be provided by an experienced and skilled New Jersey personal injury lawyer.
The attorneys at Metro Law work diligently to ensure victims have their legal rights protected so they can move forward from their unexpected and undeserved injuries. Contact our job site accident lawyers in New Jersey at (800) 460-6476 to see how we can help you.
