Manchester, NJ – Three-Vehicle Crash at Rt 70 & Rt 571 Results in 2 Injured

Manchester, NJ (December 18, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle crash in Manchester Township sent two women to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, December 16, according to local police. The collision occurred around 3:29 p.m. at the intersection of Route 70 and Route 571, a busy roadway frequently traveled by commuters.

Police said one woman suffered injuries serious enough to require air transport. A 37-year-old woman from Toms River was flown by medical helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Officials stated her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and she was listed in stable condition the following day.

A second woman, a 25-year-old from Beachwood, was taken by ambulance to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment. Authorities did not release details regarding the extent of her injuries. A third driver involved in the crash, a 36-year-old man from Jackson, did not report injuries.

Investigators determined that the crash occurred as the pickup truck, driven westbound on Route 70, attempted to turn left onto Route 571 south. At the same time, a sedan traveling eastbound on Route 70 entered the intersection and struck the pickup on the rear passenger side. The force of the impact caused a floor jack stored in the pickup bed to dislodge and strike a third vehicle traveling nearby.

Emergency crews responded quickly and assisted the injured drivers. Fire departments, emergency medical services, paramedics, and towing services all worked together to manage the scene. Cleanup and investigation efforts required the roadway to remain closed for approximately two hours.

The Manchester Police officers continue investigating the crash.

We hope for a full recovery for those injured.

Car Accidents in New JerseyThree-Vehicle Crash at Rt 70 & Rt 571 Results in 2 Injured

Car accidents in New Jersey often occur at busy intersections, where traffic volume and turning movements increase the risk of serious collisions. When drivers fail to yield or misjudge oncoming traffic, the results can be sudden and dangerous. Multi-vehicle crashes frequently lead to injuries that require emergency care, hospitalization, or even air transport.

In many car accidents, victims face more than just immediate medical concerns. Hospital bills, follow-up care, physical therapy, and missed time from work can create lasting financial strain. Even injuries labeled as non-life-threatening may still involve weeks or months of recovery and disruption to daily life.

After a serious crash, injured individuals may have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain related to their injuries. When multiple vehicles are involved, determining fault can become complicated. Insurance companies may dispute responsibility or attempt to limit payouts, especially when several drivers and policies are involved.

Working with an experienced car accident lawyer can help injured victims understand their legal options. A legal professional can review police findings, analyze crash evidence, and communicate with insurance carriers on behalf of the injured party. This support can be especially important when injuries require long-term care or when liability is contested.

Prompt legal guidance can also help preserve key evidence, including vehicle damage, witness statements, and official reports. Taking early action often improves the ability to protect one’s rights and pursue fair compensation.
