Manhattan, NY – John Horan Loses Life in Crash on 36th St

Manhattan, NY (June 5, 2024) – A fatal traffic accident happened in Manhattan on Wednesday, May 29. At around 11:30 p.m., a man, later identified as John Horan, 47, attempted to cross 36th Street near 7th Avenue when a 2023 Toyota Highlander reportedly struck him while he was headed south across the street. Police found the man unresponsive and unconscious at the scene. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Toyota stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with the police.

Local officials continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
