Middleburgh, NY (July 30, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred Tuesday afternoon, July 29, at the intersection of Route 145 and Schoharie Hill Road in Middleburgh.
New York State Police responded to the crash at approximately 1:30 p.m. The collision involved two vehicles, and sadly, one passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased person has not yet been released as authorities are working to notify family members.
The drivers of both vehicles and four other passengers were transported to local hospitals with what officials believe to be non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
The intersection of Route 145 was closed for several hours while State Police conducted a full investigation and collision reconstruction. The road was reopened once the scene was cleared, but the exact duration of the closure is unknown.
