Elizabeth, NJ (May 12, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash occurred on Monday afternoon, May 12, on the New Jersey Turnpike Outer Roadway northbound, just north of Interchange 13 – I-278/Goethals Bridge. The incident, reported at approximately 1:26 p.m., resulted in one individual being injured. Authorities have confirmed that all lanes were eventually reopened after the vehicles were moved to the right shoulder.

According to the New Jersey State Police, the crash involved two cars, with one vehicle colliding into the side of another. Firefighters assisted in extracting the vehicles and ensuring the safety of the area. Emergency medical personnel arrived quickly on the scene and transported the injured individual to the hospital for further treatment. No fatalities were reported.

Traffic was temporarily halted while authorities managed the situation, including clearing the scene and ensuring safe passage for drivers. The New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
