Car Accidents in Newark’s Fairmount Neighborhood

Car accidents in urban neighborhoods often result in serious injuries due to speeding, aggressive driving, or failure to yield at intersections. Some of the most common contributing factors include:
- Distracted Driving – Using a phone or GPS while behind the wheel reduces reaction time.
- Failure to Yield – Ignoring stop signs or red lights at busy intersections leads to T-bone crashes.
- Speeding – High speeds in city areas increase the chance of severe injury when a crash occurs.
- Pedestrian Activity – In neighborhoods like Fairmount, higher foot traffic can also raise accident risks.
When people are hurt in these types of crashes, the costs can be overwhelming. Victims may face mounting hospital bills, missed time at work, and long recovery periods. If the accident was caused by another driver’s negligence, a personal injury claim may help recover compensation.
This could include:
- Emergency medical expenses
- Ongoing rehabilitation or therapy
- Lost income
- Pain and suffering
