What Should I Do if I Was Hurt in a Traffic Accident in New Jersey? Two Cars Involved in Injury Crash at S 15th St & Springfield Ave

If you are hurt in a traffic accident in New Jersey, your first step should be to seek medical attention and report the crash. Even minor injuries should receive medical evaluation so doctors can document symptoms and rule out hidden issues.

Car crashes occur frequently at busy intersections across cities like Newark. These areas often combine heavy traffic, turning vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Because of this, accidents may happen quickly and leave people unsure about the next steps after the collision.

Many injuries appear mild at first but can become more noticeable hours later. People may experience soreness, stiffness, headaches, or arm and shoulder pain after the impact. Medical visits help identify these issues early and create records that may be helpful for follow-up treatment. Keeping copies of medical paperwork and crash reports can make it easier to track recovery and manage insurance communication.

An experienced Newark car accident attorney can also help explain what options may be available after an accident. Legal guidance can help review documents, answer questions about insurance claims, and clarify what types of compensation may be available for accident-related expenses.
