Passaic, NJ – Driver Hurt in Rollover Crash on Gregory Ave Bridge Over Passaic River

Passaic, NJ (March 25, 2026) – A driver suffered minor injuries after a rollover crash on a bridge over the Passaic River on Wednesday afternoon, March 25. The accident happened around noon on the Gregory Avenue bridge, officially known as the Kazimierz H. Slowmiany Memorial Bridge, between Passaic and Wallington.

Authorities said the crash involved a Mercedes SUV and a minivan traveling across the bridge. The 29-year-old driver of the Mercedes sustained minor injuries during the collision.

The Passaic Police and emergency units responded to the scene and evaluated the driver for injuries. They stated that the driver survived the rollover without serious harm.

The witness claimed one of the vehicles intentionally struck the other several times before the accident occurred. The impact reportedly caused a dangerous situation near the river crossing.

Investigators are reviewing witness statements and other evidence to determine exactly what happened before the crash.

Our thoughts are with the injured driver, and we hope for a quick and complete recovery.

Do I Need a Lawyer After a Car Accident in New Jersey?Driver Hurt in Rollover Crash on Gregory Ave Bridge Over Passaic River

You may not always need a lawyer after a car accident in New Jersey, but legal guidance can help when injuries, insurance disputes, or questions about fault arise. Speaking with an attorney can help clarify how state laws and insurance rules may apply to a particular situation.

Car crashes often lead to medical treatment, vehicle repairs, and communication with insurance companies. New Jersey follows a no-fault insurance system, which means drivers often turn to their own insurance coverage for certain medical expenses after a collision. However, questions can still arise about additional compensation, especially when injuries become more serious or long-term treatment is required.

Injuries after a crash can range from minor cuts and bruises to more serious conditions such as back injuries, concussions, or fractures. Some symptoms may appear hours or even days later. Medical evaluations help identify these injuries and create records that connect treatment to the accident.

Documentation also plays an important role in accident claims. Medical reports, photos of injuries, repair estimates, and official accident reports can help explain how the crash occurred and what damage resulted. Organized records often help clarify the timeline of injuries and recovery.

Legal guidance can help people understand how insurance policies and liability laws apply to their situation. A car accident lawyer can review accident reports, medical documentation, and insurance information to explain available options. Attorneys may also discuss whether compensation could be available depending on the details surrounding the crash.
