Piscataway, NJ (November 19, 2025) – A 30-year-old man died and four others suffered injuries in a violent two-car crash on Monday, November 17, near SHI Stadium in Piscataway. The collision happened around 7:15 p.m. as the driver, identified as a resident, traveled north on River Road.
The Piscataway Police Department said the man lost control of his vehicle as he moved along the roadway. His car spun into the southbound lane, where another car hit the driver’s side. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles and left several people hurt. The crash happened close to the Rutgers Busch Campus, where heavy traffic is common.
Emergency crews transported the 30-year-old man to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Doctors pronounced him dead shortly after arrival due to his injuries.
Four people in the second vehicle also sustained injuries. Paramedics transported three of them to a nearby hospital for treatment, while one person received medical care on scene.
The investigation remains active as authorities continue to review evidence and speak with witnesses.
Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died, and we wish the injured individuals a full recovery.
Car Accidents in New Jersey
Car accidents impact families and communities across New Jersey every year. Busy roads carry steady traffic near major destinations. This area often experiences heavy evening travel, which can increase the risk of severe collisions. When a crash results in serious injuries or the loss of a loved one, families face sudden grief and unexpected financial burdens.
Deadly crashes often involve high speeds, lane departures, or sudden loss of control, as seen in this tragic incident. Intersections and busy corridors can magnify danger when drivers become distracted or struggle with reduced visibility. Even a brief mistake can result in devastating outcomes that change lives forever.
After a car crash, family members want answers. They may need to understand what caused the collision, who may be at fault, and how they can secure support during a difficult time. Legal guidance can help families navigate these questions. Claims often allow families to pursue compensation.
Some key forms of compensation may include:
- Medical transport and emergency care costs often create heavy financial pressure for grieving families.
- Loss of income which can disrupt a family’s financial stability when a loved one can no longer provide support.
- Damages for emotional suffering, which recognizes the long-term grief and trauma caused by a sudden fatal collision.
Families who speak with a compassionate car accident attorney can better understand the steps needed to protect their rights. A lawyer can review evidence, speak with insurance companies, and help families pursue the compensation they deserve while they focus on healing.
