Plainview, NY - Major MVA on L.I.E near Sunnyside Blvd

Plainview, NY (March 8, 2023) - On the evening of March 8, a major crash took place in Plainview, Long Island. Multiple responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision shortly after it occurred in order to help those involved. 

At least one injured victim was in need of emergency medical attention at the scene, located on the Long Island Expressway near Sunnyside Boulevard. The wreck occurred for reasons still being investigated by local police. 

The roadway was blocked in the westbound lanes near exit 46 while responders worked at the wreck site. Traffic was stopped back to Walt Whitman Road.

Paramedics treated those with injuries at the crash scene and transported extensively injured parties to local hospitals. Few other details are currently available to report concerning the incident.
