Harmony Township, NJ (August 18, 2026) – Three people were hurt on Monday morning, August 17, after a car ran off Marble Hill Road and struck a tree.
As the New Jersey State Police reported, emergency units were called to Marble Hill Road around 11:11 a.m. after a Mercury sedan lost directional control and left the roadway before striking a tree.
The rear seat passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was moderately hurt. The driver and front-seat passenger were both injured, though their conditions were described as minor.
All three were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the sedan to leave the road.
We wish all three a smooth and full recovery.

A passenger hurt in a crash is typically covered first by the driver's auto insurance policy, which includes liability coverage meant to pay for injuries to anyone else in the vehicle.
If that policy's limits aren't enough, the passenger's own auto policy, including any underinsured motorist coverage, may help cover remaining costs.
Common injuries that passengers tend to sustain in these kinds of crashes can include face fractures, spinal injuries, or head trauma that require extended hospital care.
New Jersey requires drivers to carry personal injury protection (PIP), which can help cover a passenger's medical bills regardless of who caused the crash.
A car accident lawyer can help a passenger sort out which policies apply, including the driver's liability coverage, PIP, and any underinsured motorist benefits, and can explain what compensation may be available beyond medical costs.
Building a strong claim usually depends on evidence gathered early, including the police report, photos of the vehicle's damage and the roadway conditions, and contact information for any witnesses who saw the crash happen. Medical records documenting the injuries and treatment, along with pay stubs or other proof of missed work, can also help support the value of a claim.
