Queens, NY - Auto Accident on Van Wyck Expwy at Rockaway Blvd

Queens, NY (March 3, 2023) - One lane of traffic was blocked on the Van Wyck Expressway due to a serious car crash. It happened at approximately 4:40 p.m. on March 2 for reasons still being investigated. 

Crews were sent to the scene on the Van Wyck Expressway near Rockaway Boulevard in order to help the involved individuals. Police, EMTs, and fire crews were observed on-site a short time after the incident occurred. 

Medics rendered aid to injured victims on-site before transporting them to local hospitals for further care. The names of the involved parties have not been reported at this time. 

Authorities in Queens continue to investigate the details of the accident.
