Queens, NY – Young Girl Killed, Child Injured in Pedestrian Crash on 46th St
Queens, NY (June 27, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian crash happened in Queens on June 26. At approximately 3:30 p.m., emergency responders were sent to the scene of the incident on 46th Street near 47th Avenue. A teenage girl lost her life, and her younger sister was injured in the hit-and-run crash that happened when a delivery truck struck the pair. The scene occurred just outside of Woodside Intermediate School 125. The teenage girl, age 16, was pronounced deceased on-site. Her younger sister was promptly transported to Cornell Hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the truck fled the scene but was found a block away. Police in Queens continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
